5 Bookish Things To Do When Bored At Home: Kids Edition

Looking for fun things to do when bored at home with the kids? Maybe you are busy with work or just need time to relax?

We recently got our hands on some activities for kids at home and have been completely in love! I wanted to share them with you all for your littles.

As I am writing this post, Aidyn is so busy in his own world with one of the activities, that I almost forgot I had a time limit to type this out. (Shoutout to all the planners!)

Ok, here we go…

5 Fun Things For Kids To Do At Home

(or in the car, on the plane, with the babysitter… lol you get it! We don’t have to keep it to activities for kids indoors!)

  1. Things To Spot Sticker Books
  2. Little Transfer Books
  3. Little Sticker Books
  4. Fingerprint Activities
  5. Step-by-Step Drawing

1. Things To Spot Sticker Books

First on the list of educational activities for kids are these interactive sticker books full of busy, illustrated scenes! They help children develop skills in reading, counting, matching, and identification. When looking for fun things for kids to do, why not sprinkle on some education!

Aidyn keeps busy with the Sea sticker book! There are over 250 stickers for him to stay engaged with!

2. Little Transfer Books

Ok! Brace yourselves… there are over 1,000 transfers between these books and they are gorgeous!

They full-color scenes ready to be decorated with rub-down transfers and pages to color as well. Aidyn has the under the sea one and he loves switching between habitats!

3. Little Sticker Books

Did you say REUSABLE stickers? Yes, reusable! These books are so ideal for keeping children entertained with things to do when bored at home. Stay at home kid activities aren’t even complete without stickers! Am I right?

4. Fingerprint Activities

Yay! Fingerprint activities for kids at home! These colorful books are full of pictures to fingerprint and with their own inkpad of seven bright colors to paint with. The colorful ink pad allows children to make fingerprint pictures quickly and easily wherever they are, with no need for brushes. Inks are non-toxic.

5. Step-by-Step Drawing

All of the items on this list will help to unleash your child’s imagination. Drawing is just a classic, do anywhere, with almost any writing implement (safe for kids, of course) type of activity. So on the list of kids creative acitivities at home is the Step-by-Step Drawing Book!

Discover how to draw lots of things in these delightful books. There’s lots of space for kiddos to draw in! They just follow the simple step-by-step instructions and start drawing!

Bonus #6: Educational Puzzles

Looking for ‘bookish’ educational activities for kids? These puzzles will knock your kid’s socks off! (Corny, I know!) But really, Aidyn was so excited to get his jungle themed puzzle. He loved it so much we had to also order the space puzzle.

It was so exciting to move from the 100 piece puzzle to the 200 piece puzzle. And even better to join in with him in celebration as he put the puzzle together piece by piece.

These delightful puzzle packs contain a themed jigsaw for children to assemble, as well as a picture puzzle book teeming with additional activities!

Let’s Wrap It Up!
